Jayne Brooks
CEO
Jayne trained and worked as a journalist before discovering the fascinating world of b2b tech PR. Her ten years plus experience spans a wide breadth of clients, from global standards bodies to satellite start-ups. In her time at Proactive PR, Jayne quickly moved from Account Executive, to Account Manager and then Director, leading the delivery of international PR strategies for several of the consultancy's key global accounts. As CEO, she remains as passionate about client delivery as she did when she first started and is committed to ensuring Proactive PR operates at the forefront of PR and digital marketing.
James Page
Agency Director
James has over 23 years PR experience spanning both agency and in-house positions. During that time he has been lucky to work with B2B clients large and small in all parts of the world, enabling him to spend time in Moscow, Istanbul, Riyadh and many parts inbetween.
He has worked across a variety of B2B vertical sectors including transport, finance, utilities military and of course tech. At Proactive, he plays a crucial role in setting strategies for clients and then working with teams to ensure high-quality delivery.
Conor Woodhall
Digital PR and Business Development Manager
With an honour’s degree in Advertising and Marketing and over 8+ years of industry experience in social media and events marketing, Conor is our gatekeeper and guru for all thing’s social media!
When he’s not strategising with clients about their online social presence or building out marketing campaigns, Conor is looking out for new and exciting ways for clients to get seen. You can catch him in the office next to the cafetière.
Simon Shortland
Multimedia Solutions Director
Bringing 12 years’ experience to the Proactive video team, Simon has filmed and edited for a multitude of clients all over the world. From product demonstrations and animations to punchy interviews and in-depth case studies, Simon can film it all – and when he isn’t behind the camera, he can be called on for help with any tech-related problem. Outside of Proactive PR, Simon is a family man with two children and a keen golfer.

With over 10 years of marketing experience and nearly seven of those years in the B2B tech marketing sector, Jade’s experience encompasses a wide range of marketing items; from digital to offline. Her experience as an in-house global marketing manager at a fibre cabling manufacturer, combined with her latest agency role as Senior PR Consultant at Proactive PR, well-equips Jade to develop and deliver international marketing strategies across the tech industry. As Marketing Director, Jade is responsible for leading the global marketing communications of Proactive PR and developing our clients’ digital and traditional marketing strategies.
Elisabeth Tweedie
Satcoms Expert and Writer
Elisabeth’s entire career has been focused on commercial satellites, telecommunications and broadcasting. In the last ten years she has used her extensive background and knowledge to write about these industries for her clients, regularly writing articles, tech and market briefs for Satellite Executive Briefing and research reports for the World Teleport Association. For other industry clients she ghost-writes press releases, speeches, articles, blogs, white papers and web-copy.
Brian Dolby
Founder and President
Brian set up Proactive PR after gaining extensive experience with in-house roles at BT, Siemens and Marconi which followed a successful career as newsroom journalist. The company today retains his original zeal for doing PR with commitment, total belief and a determination to always be “proactive”.
Brian brings his background as a journalist to his client work and serves as Proactive TV’s lead presenter and interviewer. A born networker, he has unparalleled knowledge of the telecoms sector and enjoys nothing more than attending industry events around the world. If he does take a moment away from work it will be to follow his beloved Nottingham Forest.
