Proactive PR’s Director of PR and Client Services Jayne Brooks has been appointed CEO while Founder Brian Dolby will become President
Newark-on-Trent, UK, 1 February 2022 - Proactive International PR, a leading UK-based multimedia public relations consultancy, has strengthened its leadership team as it evolves its portfolio of digital services.
Jayne Brooks, the consultancy’s Director of PR and Client Services, will take on the role of CEO and lead the company as it continues to deliver the latest PR and digital marketing services. Founder and CEO Brian Dolby will become President of the consultancy, which has grown consistently since opening in April 2010 and now has clients across four continents.
“Proactive PR has gone from strength-to-strength and as we approach our 12th anniversary, we are continuing to ensure we remain at the forefront of PR and digital marketing,” said Dolby. “Jayne provides a truly world class level of expertise across our clients and teams and embodies the core values of Proactive PR, namely being highly proactive and committed to client satisfaction and value. Jayne has set an example for others to follow from the day she first walked through our doors and I am very excited that she has accepted the CEO role.”
Brooks joined Proactive PR as an Account Executive in October 2013, having previously worked as a journalist. She was quickly promoted to Account Manager, then Director and was appointed Director of PR and Client Services in 2019. This role saw her step up to oversee the day-to-day running of Proactive PR, including implementing a new team structure, and leading the delivery of international PR strategies for several of the consultancy's key global accounts.
“This year is set to be really exciting for Proactive PR as we enter a new phase of development and I’m honoured to take such a leading role,” said Brooks. “The Proactive PR team is made up of incredibly talented people who are well-known for going the extra mile for our clients – from creating SEO-optimised content and winning media coverage to developing PR strategies based on in-depth competitor analysis and delivering organic and paid social media and search campaigns. The challenge now is to build on the amazing foundations that have been laid by Brian and move onwards and upwards in the digital marketing world we are now very much a part of.”
Brooks will be supported by Agency Director James Page, who joined the team in 2020, bringing a wealth of experience from several roles with major London-based PR agencies.
Also playing a key role in Proactive PR’s digital future will be Lauren Wood who has been promoted from Senior PR Consultant to Digital PR Account Director. Leading on numerous global client accounts, Lauren has already enhanced Proactive PR’s digital services following the award of a CIPR Specialist Diploma in Digital Communications.
As the leadership changes come into effect, Proactive PR has also formalised its increased digital services offering, with a new website going live today. This can be viewed at: www.proactivepr.com
